Join artist Noreen Acconcio for An introduction to Painting with Alcohol Inks
APRIL 25th, Saturday, 1:00-3:00 PM
Explore the joys of painting with vibrant alcohol inks to produce a lively and colorful abstract design. No experience with this medium or other artistic knowledge or skill is required.
The presenter will talk about the properties and applications of alcohol inks, provide various examples of artwork using alcohol inks, and demonstrate different techniques to manipulate the inks to create a beautiful piece of art. Guidance and suggestions will be available to all participants.
This 2-hour workshop is $40 with all materials provided ($25 if you bring your own materials, see list below)
Materials List
1. alcohol Inks (6 colors )
2. isopropyl alcohol 70% or 90% (rubbing alcohol)
3. small container for the alcohol
4. yupo paper ( 1 to 2 pieces) (5 in. x 7 in.)
5. eyedropper
6. paper towel
7. mat to frame artwork (optional)
8. cotton swaps 5 or 6
9. plastic gloves
10. small paint brush
11. paper straws 1 to 2
12. scissors
