The Collective Canvas
A workshop series at 880 Burbank Studios
Calling all area artists! Join us for collaborative “paint & pass” creative acrylic workshops. In each session, artists will start a canvas, loosely focused on the suggested theme, work on it for a couple minutes, and then pass it along, adding to each other’s work.

THEME: THE SUN, THE MOON, & THE STARS
Discover the magic of our ever-changing sky and the moods it inspires. In this collaborative “paint & pass” workshop, everyone adds their touch to a shared canvas. Capture sunny days, glowing sunsets, moonlit nights, or twinkling stars. Play with light, color, and mood—realistic, dreamy, or completely imaginative.Sunday, November 23, 1:00–2:30 PM
THEME: FLOWERS & TREES
Let’s try to capture the beauty in plant life that surrounds us! Each participant contributes to a shared canvases that are passed around with focus on flowers, trees, forests, or gardens. Explore color, texture, and shape, and see how multiple creative voices bring a single piece of nature to life.Sunday, November 30, 1:00–2:30 PM
THEME: WINTER ABSTRACTS
Work collaboratively to create abstract interpretations of snow, ice, frost, or winter’s quiet stillness. Play with shapes, textures, and color, and watch how everyone’s unique style blends into one shared artwork.
COST:
OPTION 1: Participation is Free if you bring your own art supplies
(acrylic paints, brushes, palette, and 1 canvas at least 8X10 or bigger please)
OPTION 2: Participation is $25 if you’d prefer to travel light and will use our art supplies.

ART SHOW FINALE:
Join us at 880 Burbank Studios for the finale of our Collective Canvas series! On Sunday December 7th we’ll unveil the full collection during an early afternoon art show, celebrating the beautiful & unexpected results of shared creativity! Proceeds from art sales will benefit the renovation fund at 880 Burbank Studios.
