Multisensory Literacy Through Art : Summer Workshop June 23 - August 6
For Ages 4, 5 & 6 | Small Group Setting, only 6 students will be accepted.
June 23rd - August 6th, 2025 (7 weeks)
Mondays & Wednesdays 9:30-10:15
In our Multisensory Literacy Art workshops, young learners explore early literacy skills in a creative, engaging environment. Using evidence-based, multisensory instruction, children will build foundational skills through hands-on, play-based activities that integrate movement, touch, sound, and visuals. Come learn early literacy skills through art in a fun setting using multisensory instruction. Spark a love of reading and writing through art and play!
Examples of What to Expect:
Phonics Through Art
Children will create art projects that visually represent specific phonemes or sight words. As they draw or paint, they’ll say the sounds out loud—linking auditory and visual learning in a fun, memorable way.
Texture Writing
Kids will write letters and words in sensory materials like sand, rice, or shaving cream—developing writing fluency while engaging the sense of touch. The tactile experience helps to solidify the motor patterns necessary for writing while also engaging the sense of touch.
Clay Letters
Rolling and shaping clay “snakes” to form uppercase letters helps strengthen fine and gross motor skills, while reinforcing letter recognition and formation.
Each session supports Pre-K readiness, emergent writing, and early literacy development, laying a joyful foundation for future academic success!
